In the past, I've met some pretty INTERESTING people. You know those who "THINK" they want a relationship, those who only "WANT" sex, those who are "CONFUSED", those who WON'T LET GO, those who are "UNDECIDED", those who DON'T see marriage in their future, those who FEAR of marriage, and my personal favorite those who WANT IT ALL, yet ask you to WAIT until they're ready! CLASSIC!!!!
I'm sure at some point in our lives, we've all met a fair share of "those" who fall under one of these categories. I'm sure I'll have some thoughts to share with you all on these interesting type of people, so be sure to check back.
Today, I will write about the one who WANTS it all, yet will ask you to WAIT until they're ready!
I recently spoke to a friend who I haven't seen or spoken to in over a year. When we first met we thought there may have been something there, but never really pursued anything. Perhaps because he's really good friends with the family, or that he's younger, who knows what the reasons may have been.
After all this time, he now mentions that for a while now he's been interested but just never knew how to approach me, and feared that since he's a friend of the family I would not have considered it. He's right, but he wouldn't of known unless he asked.

As the conversation continued, he expressed his thoughts and feelings towards me, we talked about work, friends, family, our finding love experiences and how they have failed, you know the normal stuff. Then he asks...Would you like to be my "back up"?
Huh? Back up? What do you mean by back up, I asked. He says, you know like in friends who if by a certain age we haven't met anyone or married we hook up with each other. Hook up? I asked...Yea like, you know if we're still single by a certain age, we start hanging out, getting to know each other, have a relationship, get married, have kids, you know that kind of stuff. What the Hell?!!! (As I'm listening to this, Im nodding my head, my eyebrows have now raised) and I respond sarcastically, Oh! I see, so what age did you have in mind, considering I'm 5 years older than you? He says, I'm thinking maybe when turn 32. Is that a good age? or is that too long he asks? (At this point I was starting to question myself as to why I even allowed this conversation to get this far...) I responded, Well by the time you're 32 I'll be 37, and honestly, if I'm still single by then, I think I'll just stay single. (What I was really thinking...by the time I'm 37, are you serious?!)
I sometimes wonder, where they come up with these BRIGHT ideas?!
